OVER 1,400 BOATS AND ALMOST 15,000 SAILORS

This is not your average race

What began as a race of 25 in 1931 has grown to become a global event attracting sailors from all over the world. For many, it is a not-to-be-missed battle of wits, involving unpredictable winds, ever-changing currents and challenging tides. There are over one hundred trophies up for grabs, the most famous of these trophies is the Gold Roman Bowl, which has been awarded to the overall winner of the race since the first race in 1931. This year, eight lucky yachts were also awarded the prize of an authentic Swiss Made Marathon Watch.
